Short answer:

All Borrowers must be verified before they can borrow cars. We run ID and credit checks, and decline any Borrowers who don't meet our membership criteria.

Before someone can borrow cars with Car Next Door, they need to submit an application including providing the information we need to conduct a face-match ID check and credit check. We review each application, so only people who meet our criteria will be verified and able to borrow cars.

We also have clear rules to help our community run smoothly and build trust and respect between Owners and Borrowers. If a Borrower does the wrong thing, we can charge them a fee and compensate anyone put out by their actions. In some cases, we will suspend a Borrowers membership entirely.

Owners can also block a Borrower from booking their car again by giving them a thumbs down review.
