Short answer:

You can book trips instantly on the website or the app. You can also call our friendly Member Experience team ($2 charge applies to phone bookings). 

To book a trip on the website or app

  1. Log in to the website or app
  2. Click on 'Find a Car' (website) or 'Search' (app) and enter the dates and times you need a car (trips must start and end between 6am and 11pm)
  3. Use the search filters to look for a car that suits your needs
  4. Double check all the details and click 'Book Now'
  5. Complete the steps to join Car Next Door and wait for your account to be verified (within 1 business hour - 9am-6pm Sydney time, 7 days a week)

After your account is verified

Once your account is verified, we'll confirm your trip and send you a confirmation email. You'll also be able to see the details and manage your trip under the 'Trips' tab of the app or website.

You only need to verify your account once - after that you'll be able to book trips instantly at any time.

If we can't confirm your trip

If the car is booked by another member while you're waiting for your account to be verified, we won't be able to confirm your trip. We'll send you an email to let you know and you'll be able to book another car instantly once your account is verified.

If you're not ready to book a car right now, you can still join for free. We'll verify your account within 3 business hours and then you can book a car instantly whenever you need to drive.
