The borrower is late returning my car - what should I do?

If a Borrower’s booking period has ended and they haven’t returned your car yet, give them a call directly. You can find the Borrower’s phone number under the ‘Cars’ tab when you log in, or in the text and email you received when the booking was made.

If you can’t get in touch with them, contact us. In most cases, a Borrower running late is due to an honest mistake, for example mixing up the booking times or incorrectly extending a booking, so there's no need to be alarmed.

Call us as soon as possible so we can help out, and please don't try to go and pick up the car yourself. We can track your car's location using the GPS, and we have plenty of tools at our disposal to ensure your car is returned and in good condition. If necessary, we'll fine the Borrower and compensate you or the next Borrower for the inconvenience.

The borrower is liable for anything that happens to the car as long as they are in possession of it, and will be charged for the trip up until the time your car is returned.

If you or another Borrower has a booking coming up soon and your car hasn’t been returned by the previous Borrower, contact us so we can arrange alternative transport for you or the next Borrower.
