Updating your contact details or name

Short answer:

You can update your phone number and home address through the website or app. You'll need to call us to update your email address. You can update your preferred name in the website, or email us if you've legally changed your name.

Updating your contact details

Email address: call us on (02) 8035 8000 and let us know your new details.

Phone number: choose 'Account > Contact details' from the menu in the website or app and enter your new phone number. You'll be asked to verify your new phone number by entering a code we'll send you by SMS.

Home address:

  1. Log in to the website or app
  2. Go to Menu > Account > Contact details on the website or Menu > Contact details on the app
  3. Enter your new details
  4. Click 'Save'

Updating your name or preferred name

If you have a preferred first name you'd like displayed on the website, you can update it in the website (not app):

  1. Log in to the website (not app)
  2. Click on the menu in the top right hand corner and choose 'Account'
  3. Click on your name under your profile photo
  4. Type your preferred name into the box
  5. Click 'Save'

Your preferred name will display on your profile, on any reviews you leave for other members or cars, and on your car's profile.

If you have legally changed your name, send us an email at members@carnextdoor.com.au with your new name. Please include any supporting documents, such as a marriage certificate or updated driver's licence.
